St. Michael’s School Graduates enjoy a day at Manchebo

dsc04013.JPGJune 27, 2007 – Eagle Beach – Graduates of St. Michael School of Brasil, Aruba enjoyed a great “working” experience at Manchebo Beach Resort & Spa. The 17 students of teacher Gordon Keggie in the age range of 12-14 years received a grand tour of the resort and had an opportunity to work hands on for a couple of hours with Manchebo’s staff in the restaurant, housekeeping, maintenance, beach, garden and front desk departments. Teacher Gordon enjoyed the great enthusiasm of his students while working with the Manchebo team during the morning and had many requests from his students to soon return for more experiences. “It was a real pleasure for us to host this young group of students. With tourism as the pillar of Aruba’s economy we certainly hope to have inspired some youngsters to choose for a career in tourism in the coming years” says Edgar Roelofs, director of operations. Of course the students enjoyed the resort’s hospitality as well with a nice lunch at the cafeteria..
