Manchebo Beach Resort & Spa works together with yoga teacher Rachel Brathen to offer our guests different ways to move towards their goals of greater health and balance.

Certified Yoga Instructor and Yoga Director Rachel Brathen invites you to join the yoga fun at Manchebo! Our daily yoga classes are designed to stretch your body, calm your mind and most importantly: to make your Aruba vacation as relaxing as possible.

Swedish native Rachel Brathen has been practicing yoga since she was a young teen. After graduating school she traveled to Costa Rica and it was here that she found the joy of incorporating yoga into her everyday life. Deepening her yoga practice and also taking her first steps towards teaching, she ended up moving to Central America where she spent years exploring the intricate studies of yoga and spirituality. After moving to Aruba early 2010 she now teaches yoga full time on the island. Yoga Alliance Certified in classical Hatha Yoga, her classes are a mix of Hatha and Vinyasa Flow, integrating alignment, core work, and breathing techniques with basic poses and creative sequencing. Each class is designed to energize the body, cultivate a meditative consciousness, and give greater vitality and health.

As the official yoga instructor at Manchebo Beach Resort & Spa Rachel gives seven classes a week here at the hotel; morning classes in the pavilion and evening classes sometimes on the beach by the spa. If you enjoy a softer class, letting the sound of the waves guide you into the present moment, the morning class is something for you. If you want to take a more intense class, we suggest taking one of the evening classes where we practice at a faster pace.

Rachel provides every student with a space to safely play in the art of yoga. If you are new to yoga or already in deep practice, this is the place on the island.
