The
resort’s executive chef, Oscar Steba proudly introduced
his extensive Italian menu on March 01, 2006 at the outdoor poolside
Garden Terrace. Born on Aruba, Chef Oscar has over 20 years of
experience which he acquired in the Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium
and France before settling back on Aruba.
“The Italian cuisine has conquered
my heart” says Oscar Steba. “Start your dining experience
with the Melanzane alla Parmigiana, fresh eggplant baked in tomato
sauce, basil, ricotta, parmesan and mozzarella cheese followed
by a great Insalate Cesare. For main course I recommend the Vitello
allo Stile del Chef, my favorite veal cutlet parmesan, deep fried
breaded and covered with mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese.”
Other
chef favorite’s main courses include the Piatto del Pescatore
featuring shrimp, calamari, mussels, clams over a bed of linguini
prepared with marinara sauce. Risotto al Frutti di Mare presenting
Arborio rice cooked in olive oil, butter, onions, garlic simmered
with fresh seafood and a touch of tomato sauce, white wine and
saffron.
