a new face to the property Edgar Roelofs the new Director of Operations at Manchebo
Beach Resort. Together with owner, Ike Cohen and the management and staff of
Manchebo Beach Resort Edgar will be working at further improving your
vacation experience at the resort. Graduated from Hotel Management School
in Maastricht, The Netherlands, Edgar has been living on the island for over 14
years and worked for many years at the La Cabana Beach Resort and just
recently at the Amsterdam Manor
Beach Resort. You will see him around the property throughout the day listening
and interacting with customers and staff. Please make sure to get a hold of him

Flip is our talented magician/waiter working at the French Steakhouse for
over 7 years. Flip entertains his guests every night with his awesome card
tricks and surprises kids and honeymooners with his rapid balloon creation not
seen anywhere. When you are in Aruba, don't forget to stop by the French
Steakhouse right here at Manchebo Beach Resort to watch flip do his act and at
the same time enjoy the best steak in Aruba.
Gerald, the popular Garden Terrace
Breakfast & Pega Pega Lunch waiter decided to
challenge himself and enrolled his cocktail "Havana Kiss" in the annual
Bartender contest, sponsored by Havana Club. A total of 18 participants, among
them top bartenders, attended the competition night. Of course the
"Manchebo Gang" was on-the-spot to support him all the way. "I
could hear only the Manchebo crowd cheering and giving me their support, it felt
great " Result: The Rookie Gerald took the 6th place deservedly, after
hard days of practicing and refining his cocktail. WAY to GO Gerald! PABIEN!
Gerald wants to extend his gratitude to his colleagues for their support during
the competition." without them I wouldn't feel like a winner "
Gerald participated also on the annual Red Bull
competition,
together with contestants from all over the world,
and again he did a very good job, by taking the 4th place. We will showcase
his drink on the next newsletter, and tell you more about the competition... |

Preparation:
Combine all ingredients, using a
blender over crushed ice, blend at high speed 10-15 seconds, pour in Poco-Grande glass.

Linda Gaffey's Surprise Birthday
Everyone was surprised! Thru e-mails Roosje, the Function
Coordinator of Manchebo, helped Jack Gaffey plan a
surprise Party for his lovely wife Linda. Together with family
and friends they gathered at the Veranda near the Pega Bar where
they were entertained by Singing "Eddy Kroon" just for them
right after the Happy Hour. And then....... the party went on,
while enjoying a succulent dinner dinner prepared by the French
Steakhouse Restaurant Linda was surprised by a Mariachi Band
that serenaded her a Mariachi happy birthday and more. Everyone
had a blast!

Is a year-round folkloric event every Tuesday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30

Joy & Alfred 08-25-'03
Joy & Alfred Thomas had their civil
Wedding Ceremony in the United States and decided to celebrate their happiness and honeymoon
here in Aruba at Manchebo Beach Resort. They chose for the "Basic Wedding
Package" and as options they had the photographer and a dinner for two on
the beach. The nuptial ceremony took place on the white sandy beach of
Manchebo Beach just before sunset, then after signing the marriage
certificate they went for the "Beach Walk" with the photographer who took
more breathtaking pictures of them by the edge of the water and with the sun
setting as background. After the famous "Beach Walk" they enjoyed a
succulent Five Course Dinner on the beach surrounded by tiki torches and
palm trees. Dinner for two was prepared by our Chef, Joy and Alfred's
favorite restaurant the "French Steakhouse". Joy and Alfred also stayed with
us and we are looking forward to their stay with us again as they promised.
Happy Forever Honeymoon from all of us.........................
