Aruba's Best Fairs, Festivals and Annual Celebrations

There’s never a shortage of fun on the island of Aruba. From cultural celebrations and music festivals to regattas and other events that take advantage of the island’s warm waters and white sand beaches, visitors enjoy some of the Caribbean’s best, most vibrant events.  Explore a few of our favorites:

Carnival

January - February

Aruba's Tivoli Lighting Parade takes place in downtown Oranjestad and incorporates thousands of tiny lights into costumes and floats, bringing a dramatic effect to the already extravagant display. The two-month long Carnival culminates with an all-day Grand Carnival Parade, live music and more!  

Soul Beach Music Festival

May

Jam out with the hottest internationally renowned performing artists at Aruba’s Soul Beach Music Festival. Recently voted one of the “Top Five Caribbean Celebrations by USA TODAY”, and the #1 “Caribbean Summer Festival” by Jetsetter Magazine.

Aruba International Triathlon

June

More than 100 international competitors gather for the annual Aruba International Triathlon, which kicks off on nearby Eagle Beach with a 1.5 km swim, followed by a 40 km bike race and a 10 km run on a closed circuit course.

Aruba Summer Music Festival

July

The Aruba Summer Music Festival in sparkling-new Harbor Square Arena is a two-day celebration featuring Grammy Award-winning entertainers and some of Aruba’s best local bands and in-demand DJs.

Caribbean Sea Jazz Festival

September

This outdoor festival spans two days and features local and international jazz musicians on three stages at oceanfront Renaissance Festival Plaza. A favorite on Aruba’s festival calendar, it’s a mix of jazz, Latin, soul, funk and blues that all add up to a toe-tapping good time.

Aruba Hi-Winds Windsurfing Event

July

The Caribbean’s largest amateur windsurfing event, Aruba Hi-Winds draws 100+ windsurfers and kiteboarders to the waters off of Aruba’s rocky Hadicurari Beach (aka Fisherman’s Huts) and Boca Grandi Beach for five days of competition, mixed with beach parties, entertainment and event.

Aruba Regatta

August

Join the Aruba International Regatta at Surfside Beach for three days of parties and two days of top-notch racing, including yacht, sunfish and beach cat races, windsurf and kitesurf competitions and more.

Aruba International Pro-Am Golf Tournament

August

Sharpen your swing at the Aruba International Pro-Am Golf Tournament. This annual two-day event at Tierra del Sol Golf Course on the island’s northwest coast teams up pros and amateurs for 36 holes on the island’s only 18-hole course, a challenging Robert Trent Jones, Jr.-designed gem.

Electric Festival

September

One of Aruba’s newer music festivals, the Electric Festival is four days of electronic dance music and pool parties, plus fine dining and headliner DJs, at the Renaissance Resort in Oranjestad. Every year brings a world-class lineup of performers to Aruba to play and party.

Aruba International Film Festival

October

The Aruba International Film Festival at Palm Beach Plaza Mall features international narrative, documentary, and short films from around the world, plus panel discussions, master classes and rare “In Conversation With” sessions with top industry professionals.

Aruba International Beach Tennis Open

November

Called the biggest beach tennis competition in the world, the eight-day Aruba International Beach Tennis Open brings more than 1,000 professional and amateur players to Eagle Beach for competition on 35 courts, all mixed with music and fun events.

Dande Festival

December

Aruba’s biggest traditional musical event, December’s Dande Festival features more than 50 singers. Traditional Aruban instruments, including the tambu, wiri and raspa, are used to produce a festive rhythm with a contagious chorus of Dande songs.
