The Feathered Giants of the Aruba Ostrich Farm

October 01, 2018

Looking to discover a bit of Australia on your Caribbean vacation? Look no further than Aruba’s own Ostrich Farm, where these large (and we mean surprisingly large) birds thrive on the island’s eastern coast. During your visit, you’ll be given the opportunity to feed the ostriches and emus as the friendly and expert Aruba Ostrich Farm staff tell you all about the birds’ quirks, proclivities, and survival instincts. We especially recommend the farm to folks traveling with kids, as the little ones are invariably awe-struck by the sight of the massive birds. The farm is open every day, and guided tours are offered every half hour between 9 A.M. and 4 P.M. In addition to seeing the birds themselves, you can also browse the souvenir shop, where much of the merchandise is handcrafted by local artisans, and grab a bite at the on-site restaurant.
