Chef Mylene Lapinid

Leave it to the Chef

In charge of all our beautiful creations is Chef Mylene Lapinid. Originally from the Philippines she moved to Aruba in 1995 with a master in fashion design. Her eye for detail has forever come in handy as she found a passion in cooking with a more specific aim at Japanese cuisine. 
 
Over the years she has perfected her craft as she was able to learn from a master chef who taught her the traditional art of sushi making. This base of knowledge expanded through experience and courses. 
 
For over 20 years Chef Mylene Lapinid created and discovered many different sides to the Japanese cuisine at several restaurants like Sakura, O Sushi Mi and House of Japan, before given the complete creative freedom at Omakase to do what she does best: Serve you with delightful, tasty, mouthwatering dishes to revisit time after time.
